Chef Lorene blends artistry, passion, and decades of experience into every dish she creates. With a formal background in Culinary Arts from Kendall College and a natural flair for entrepreneurship, she founded The Sole Ingredient Corporate Catering in 2009.Her philosophy is simple:“Food is life and should be expressed with the uttermost beauty.”

Chef Dorian discovered his love for cooking at a young age, beginning in his church kitchen alongside his grandparents. His passion led him from high school culinary classes to Le Cordon Bleu, where he studied pastry arts and developed a deep appreciation for diverse cuisines.
After years of rising through restaurant kitchens to lead cook and sous chef, Chef Dorian found his culinary home working alongside Chef Loren. As the creator and right hand behind The Sole Ingredient Catering, he plays a vital role in menu development, kitchen leadership, and execution. Creative, supportive, and detail-driven, Chef Dorian is the other half of the brain that helps bring the brand’s vision to life

Pastry Chef Carrie Cox is a Chicago-based, self-taught pastry artist with over ten years of experience creating custom desserts for weddings, celebrations, and special events. Specializing in wedding cakes, dessert tables, cobblers, celebration cakes, and petite confections, her work blends elegance, flavor, and heartfelt craftsmanship. Chef Carrie has served clients throughout Chicagoland and beyond, with features at U.S. Navy events, City of Chicago programs, nonprofit functions, and private celebrations across multiple states.
